Through household travel surveys, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) collects travel behaviour information to help plan Queensland’s future transport network.

The brief

TMR required the design and development of collateral for the delivery of the travel survey as well as the production of an animated video as a how-to tool to assist households when completing the travel survey.

Our solution

Working with TMR’s project team, Comms Creative alongside The Comms Team developed a communication strategy which identified a range of collateral for internal and external audiences, including participating households.

One of the main deliverables for this project was the design of the travel survey kit which will reach 1,500 households each month until 2019. Comms Creative designed the How We Move name style for the program, as well as the associated collateral which will enable households to complete the survey without significant follow up.

For the first time in Australia, most households will complete their survey through an online survey portal. To facilitate the ongoing roll-out of the survey, Comms Creative produced a travel survey kit. To further assist participants when completing the travel survey an animated video was produced to guide participants through how to complete their travel survey.
